In December 2017 we purchased the farm buildings that had long been the view from our farmhouse.

For years the farm played host to numerous farming families who looked after their Charolais cattle and pigs. During the 1940’s, the first floor of the house was used for the storage of oats « Avoines ». As well as Charolais cows, the house and barns were home to all sorts of local wildlife; every spring the swifts would return to nest,  pretty little fruit rats, (Loirs) hid in the rafters, foxes came for a sniff around and there was always a barn owl competing for space.
We decided to embark on a restoration knowing little of the adventure that lay ahead
