Lockdown Progress

Wow - these are not the easiest of times but with much help, co-operation and understanding between us and the team we are managing to keep things progressing. You can see from this photograph both the Barn and Farmhouse are coming along well and although are schedule has slipped we will be looking to take guests next year

20-20 Vision

Things have been progressing well on site and we can now begin to see light at the end of what, on occasions, has seemed a longer tunnel than that which runs under the channel!  The buildings are beginning to take shape both externally and internally and we are very happy with all the local trade who have been working with us on the project. Alas! The spectre of a pending pandemic looms on the horizon and we now are looking to have to navigate some very choppy waters!!!  Stay with us for further updates.

Our Christmas Present

In December 2017 we purchased the farm buildings that had long been the view from our farmhouse. For years the farm played host to numerous farming families who looked after their Charolais cattle and pigs. During the 1940’s, the first floor of the house was used for the storage of oats « Avoines ». As well as Charolais cows, the house and barns were home to all sorts of local wildlife; every spring the swifts would return to nest,  pretty little fruit rats, (Loirs) hid in the rafters, foxes came for a sniff around and there was always a barn owl competing for space. We decided to embark on a restoration knowing little of the adventure that lay ahead
